Over the holidays

Christmas and New Years have passed. In the meanwhile Jeff n' Annabell visited, some snowboarding occured, and I got some new socks.

Last time I spoke I was heading home for Christmas. Was all good except the dog now chews on everything so you can't leave any doors open otherwise Jaws (nee Hamish) will find it and chew on it; dumb dog.
Hung out with the bro, mum and dad. Skritched the bird; he loves that. Pet the senile cat (she is so amazingly overdrawn on how long she has lived that the family told me to spend some time with her (last estimate was around 15+ years old)). Did some boarding at Manning Park with Jani; all good. I got socks and underwear for prezzies. Love it!

New Year's was a joyous celebration at Kevin and Nicola's house. There was much rejoicing and I got to kick Ash a couple of times at the beginning of the new year; its going to be a good year I think.

On Jan 3rd Jeff, Rachel, Viv, Nicole and I headed up to Whistler and enjoyed the bestest day I think I will ever get up there.
First off, there was a little bit of new snow.
Secondly, it was -20 Celcius or colder (-45 at some points)
Thirdly, there was absolutely NOBODY up there.
The longest line we experienced all day was about one minute. Granted the cold was pretty intense and it killed my digicam battery so that I couldn't get many pictures but I think that was the best day I have ever spent boarding ever.

The snow was most excellent although the glide over to 7th Heaven on a snowboard really, really burned me out for a while; very hard on the calf muscles. Plus the cold would freeze your breath on your neck gaiter and make it stiff. Buy me a beer and I will gloat about it to you.

I have visited with ridiculous numbers of people over the holidays so it is going to take me a few more days to get back up to speed.
